Jammu, November 5: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of JKAS officer Zakir Hussain Wani with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 1743-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on November 5, Wani, who was serving as Additional Secretary in the Power Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) with the Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment and Rural Development.
The order, issued in the interest of administration, has been signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.
The posting shall take effect immediately, as per the government order.
