Will Do Whatever Is Possible’: CM Omar Abdullah Reviews Development Works in Bandipora

Chief Minister directs officials to accelerate projects, improve public services, and address people’s concerns across the district.

Bandipora, June 17: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting in Bandipora to assess the progress of developmental projects, evaluate public service delivery, and review the implementation of key government programmes across the district.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by members of his Council of Ministers, his Advisor, senior administrative officials, and local legislators during the visit to north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

During the meeting, Omar Abdullah reviewed major sectoral indicators, the status of ongoing development works, and the performance of various departments. He stressed the need for timely completion of projects and directed officials to ensure efficient delivery of services to the public.

The Chief Minister emphasized that governance must remain responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people and instructed departments to address pending issues on priority.

Speaking after the review meeting, Omar Abdullah said the administration had assessed the implementation of last year’s development plan for Bandipora and discussed areas requiring improvement.

“We reviewed the delivery of last year’s plan for Bandipora. We discussed the shortcomings and identified areas where improvements are needed,” he said.

The Chief Minister noted that local representatives, including elected legislators from the district, raised several public issues and development-related concerns during the meeting. He assured them that the government would make every possible effort to address genuine demands and improve services for residents.

“They have been assured that we will do whatever is possible from our end,” Omar Abdullah stated.

The meeting also focused on strengthening infrastructure, improving public welfare schemes, and enhancing coordination among departments to ensure better governance at the grassroots level.

Among those present at the meeting were the Additional Chief Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, MLAs, and other district and departmental officers, who provided updates on ongoing projects and future plans.

The Chief Minister directed all departments to maintain close monitoring of development works and ensure that benefits of government programmes reach the people in a transparent and efficient manner.

The visit forms part of the government’s ongoing efforts to review development progress on the ground and ensure that district-level concerns are addressed through coordinated administrative action.
