Jammu/ Doda, April 27, 2026: A day after a major narcotics raid in Sadeeq Abad, Doda Police on Monday shared additional details, indicating that the case involves an organized drug trafficking network operating in the area.
The disclosures come in continuation of Sunday’s operation under the ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan’, during which two women and one man were arrested from Dhak Mohalla.
Accused identified

The arrested accused have been identified as:
* Zareena Begum, wife of Late Ghulam Ali, resident of Sadeeq Abad, Dhak Mohalla, Doda
* Shabeena Banoo, daughter of Late Ghulam Ali, resident of Sadeeq Abad, Dhak Mohalla, Doda
* Zaheer Hussain, son of Mohammad Iqbal Lohar, resident of Sadeeq Abad, Dhak Mohalla, Doda
The absconding accused has been identified as:
* Heena Begum alias Takri, wife of Zaheer Abbas, resident of Sadeeq Abad, Dhak Mohalla, Doda
Police said efforts are underway to apprehend the absconding accused.
Recovery indicates organized operation
Police reiterated that the scale of recovery made during the raid strongly points towards organized illegal activity. The seized items include:
* Approximately 85 grams of heroin (brown sugar-like substance)
* 99 grams of charas
* ₹23,12,160 in cash
* 24 Android mobile phones
The significant cash recovery and multiple mobile phones suggest the use of coordinated communication channels in the drug trade.
Investigation expands to wider network
An FIR No. 93/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Doda. Investigations have now been widened to:
* Identify source suppliers (backward linkages)
* Trace local distributors and street-level peddlers (forward linkages)
Officials said the focus is to dismantle the entire narcotics network, not just those arrested in the initial raid.
More arrests likely
Police sources indicate that further arrests are likely as the investigation progresses. Technical analysis of the seized mobile phones and follow-up raids are expected to provide crucial leads.
Public cooperation sought
Doda Police has appealed to the public to share any information related to drug trafficking, assuring complete confidentiality for informers.
The latest update highlights both the scale of the network and the involvement of women in narcotics trafficking, as authorities intensify efforts to eliminate the drug menace from the district.
