Jammu, February 13, 2026: Jammu Police during routine checking seized a consignment of perishable food items being transported without following prescribed food safety norms.
A police team of Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Inderpal Singh intercepted Bus No. JK02BB-4855 driven by Suraj Singh and Car No. JK02AK-8076 driven by Nazir Ali for checking.
During inspection, 26 tubs of paneer and one bag of khoya were found being transported without insulated containers and without following mandatory Food Safety SOPs required for perishable items.
The consignment was seized on the spot for further legal action.
During inquiry, the supplier was identified as Pankaj Gupta of Mangtain, Hamirpur, Tehsil Maheen, District Kathua.
Jammu Police stated that strict action will be taken against those violating food safety regulations and endangering public health.
