The duo reportedly went missing on the evening of October 6 during an operation in the forested area between Kishtwar and Anantnag.

Following their disappearance, multiple units of the Army and Jammu & Kashmir Police, supported by aerial surveillance, launched a massive search operation across the rugged terrain.

Though official information remains limited, sources close to the operation have ruled out any immediate terror link.

Preliminary assessment within the security forces suggests that the two jawans may have lost their way during an ongoing operation in the area. (Sources)
