Jammu, October 3: SP Rural Jammu has issued a public alert after a fake social media profile was reportedly created using his name and photographs. The officer urged people not to respond to requests or messages from the suspicious account.
The warning advises users not to accept friend requests, share personal information or engage with the account. People have also been asked to report and block the profile immediately.
A screenshot shared with the warning reportedly shows an account operating under the name “Singh Ravinderr SP”, using the officer’s identity and photographs.
The incident comes amid repeated concerns over impersonation and fake social media accounts. Authorities have previously advised citizens to verify the authenticity of accounts before sharing personal information or responding to requests.
