POONCH, MAY 10: District Collector Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma on Saturday convened a meeting of concerned collectors to finalise compensation rates for land acquired for the Shahsitar–KG Top Road project at Village Khaneter, Tehsil Haveli.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the assessment and approval of compensation rates for the affected landowners. After thorough deliberations, the rates were finalised and approved.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned Land Acquisition Collector to complete all requisite formalities and issue the final award at the earliest in accordance with established procedures, ensuring that rightful claimants receive timely compensation.
The meeting emphasised the need for expeditious disposal of land acquisition proceedings while maintaining transparency and safeguarding the interests of affected persons.
