Officials added that search teams are combing dense areas near the Ujh river, which is a known infiltration route frequently used by militants attempting to cross over from across the International Border.

Local residents have been urged to remain alert and immediately report any suspicious movement or unidentified individuals to the nearest police station.

The operation comes amid heightened security measures in Jammu and Kashmir following recent incidents of infiltration and militant activity in the border districts. Security forces are maintaining a high state of readiness to prevent any untoward incident. (PTI)
