Minister for Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education Sakeena Itoo distributed appointment orders to 25 Contingent Paid Workers (CPWs) of the School Education Department regularized as Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and promotion orders to 14 Laboratory Assistants promoted as Teachers in Srinagar.
She reaffirmed the Omar Abdullah-led government’s commitment to merit-based opportunities, transparency, and employee welfare, stating that nearly 3,000 CPWs have been regularized over the past one and a half years.

The Minister emphasized that employees are the backbone of the education system and their dedication is essential for improving learning outcomes and strengthening institutional performance. She assured continued reforms in education and employee welfare policies.
Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani noted that several employees had been awaiting regularization for over two decades and said the government is taking a phased approach to resolve long-pending cases.
On the occasion, bicycles were also distributed among meritorious students and students from BPL families who performed well in examinations.
