“In the past 8–10 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we have been able to establish several premier educational institutions. Be it IIT, NIFT, the Central University, or AIIMS, Jammu and Kashmir has greatly benefited from these institutions,” he said.

He added that the ongoing reforms in the syllabus will prove beneficial for both students and the nation as a whole.

LG Sinha said he envisions a bright future for the Central University of Kashmir and expressed his wish to see the institution rank among the top universities by 2047. “I want the committee members of the Central University to take this varsity to the global level,” he said.

Encouraging students, he added, “Students must go beyond the syllabus. I am confident that the students of CUK will focus on this and contribute significantly to national development.” (Agencies)
