Poshan Project Assar Holds Awareness Rally Under NMBA Campaign

Students, officials and locals join anti-drug rally in Assar to promote a drug-free society under 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

DODA, MAY 15: To strengthen the fight against drug abuse, Poshan Project Assar on Thursday organised a massive awareness rally under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in Assar town of Doda district.

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials, volunteers, students, members of market associations and local residents.

District Programme Officer Mission Poshan Akther Hussain Qazi flagged off the rally from the main market area. The procession passed through several prominent locations of Assar town with participants carrying banners and placards displaying messages such as “Say No to Drugs”, “Youth Against Addiction” and “Drug-Free Society for a Better Future”.

The rally aimed to spread awareness among the public regarding the social, economic and health-related consequences of drug addiction and encourage collective action against substance abuse.

Speaking on the occasion, Akther Hussain Qazi said that drug abuse has emerged as a serious social challenge and stressed that collective efforts are essential to eliminate the menace from society. He highlighted the role of parents, teachers, religious leaders and community elders in guiding the younger generation towards positive and constructive activities.

The programme concluded with participants taking a solemn pledge to support the mission of building a drug-free society and actively contribute towards the success of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
