As part of sustained community outreach initiatives of Jammu Police during the holy month of Ramzan, a Police–Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was convened on 21.02.2026 at Bathindi by SP City South Jammu, SDPO South, SHO PS Bahu Fort, and the newly joined I/C PP Bathindi, PSI Ajesh Jamwal.

The meeting witnessed the participation of respected religious leaders, senior citizens, and other prominent members of the local community, reflecting strong public engagement and trust. At the outset, the officers warmly welcomed the participants and underscored the critical importance of communal harmony, mutual respect, and coordinated efforts to ensure a peaceful and spiritually enriching Ramzan.
During the interaction, the newly appointed Incharge of Police Post Bathindi was formally introduced to the gathering to strengthen accessibility and communication between the police and the public. The officers emphasized proactive policing, enhanced patrolling, active response to public calls, and close coordination with community representatives to maintain law and order during the holy month.
The primary focus of the meeting was to reinforce the message of universal brotherhood, love, affection, spirituality, humanity, and religious harmony during Ramzan. Detailed deliberations were held on comprehensive security arrangements, effective traffic regulation, crowd management during peak prayer timings, facilitation of late-night movements for Sehri and Taraweeh, and prompt redressal of public grievances. Special emphasis was laid on maintaining a peaceful atmosphere and ensuring public convenience without any disruption to religious activities.
Community members appreciated the proactive approach of the police and assured their wholehearted cooperation in upholding peace, brotherhood, and social harmony. The meeting concluded on a constructive note with a shared commitment between the police and the public to work collectively towards a safe, secure, and harmonious Ramzan.
