Police Attach Property Worth ₹3.47 Crore in UAPA Case in Ganderbal
Ganderbal, April 10, 2025:
In a significant crackdown under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), police in Ganderbal have attached immovable property worth ₹3.47 crore belonging to three individuals accused of exfiltrating to Pakistan for illegal arms and ammunition training.
The action pertains to Case FIR No. 48/2009 under Section 13 of the UAPA, registered at Police Station Kheerbawani, and was carried out following an order issued by the Hon’ble Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Ganderbal.
According to the official statement, the attached property comprises agricultural land measuring 09 Kanals and 07 Marlas, belonging to the following individuals:
- Firdous Ahmad Wani, son of Late Gh Ahmad Wani, resident of Treesa Safapora
- Mohd Ramzan Bhat, son of Late Gh Rasool Bhat, resident of Batpora Safapora
- Mohd Ayoub Ganie, son of Late Gh Rasool Ganie, resident of Pahlipora Safapora
These individuals had reportedly illegally crossed over to Pakistan to receive training in arms and ammunition, in violation of Indian law.
The police emphasized that this move is part of sustained efforts to crack down on elements involved in activities that threaten public safety and national security. Authorities reiterated their commitment to taking strong legal action against anyone found in violation of the UAPA or engaged in anti-national activities.
