PDP Delegation Meets DC Kishtwar, Seeks Urgent Redressal of Public Issues

Kishtwar, April 3: A deputation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by the party’s Additional General Secretary, called on the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and highlighted a range of issues affecting people across various parts of the district. The delegation urged the administration to take immediate steps for their resolution.

The PDP leaders stressed the need for urgent repair of the Kishtwar road, which falls under the jurisdiction of NHIDCL, citing the inconvenience faced by commuters. They also raised concerns over the condition of the District Hospital and demanded adequate staff, improved infrastructure, and essential medical equipment to enhance healthcare services.

Among other issues, the deputation pointed out the shortage of staff in schools in the Marwah zone and sought immediate filling of vacancies. They also demanded improvement in electricity supply in Bonjwah and called for the repair of the Palmar road. The delegation further urged the administration to clear landslides on the Thakrie road to ensure smooth connectivity.

The condition of the Gujjar-Bakerwal hostel in Chatroo was also brought to attention, with a demand for better facilities and proper staff deployment. Additionally, the leaders highlighted the need for repair of lanes and drains in Kishtwar town and emphasized ensuring uninterrupted water supply to adjoining areas.

After hearing the concerns, the Deputy Commissioner assured the delegation that necessary measures would be taken to address the issues on priority.

The deputation included District President Ishtiyaq Waza, District President Youth Shahbaz Sheikh, Block Presidents Ghulam Mohammad, Sajjad Hussain, Akhtar Hussain Mir, Manzoor Shah, and Umar Khanday, along with senior leaders Adil Bagwan, Irshad Bagwan, Mohammad Hanif, Abdul Kabir Naik, Ghulam Ali, Mohammad Saleem, Kashif Shah, and others.
