Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to providing reliable, affordable and quality electricity to every household across the Union Territory.
Chairing a comprehensive review meeting of the Power Development Department (PDD), the Chief Minister stressed the need to strengthen the power sector through timely completion of infrastructure projects, improved accountability and sustained reforms.
He directed officials to ensure that key power infrastructure projects are completed within the stipulated timelines and called for greater efficiency at every level of the department.
The Chief Minister also emphasised the importance of building a modern, resilient and financially sustainable power sector capable of meeting the growing energy needs of the people.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the government remains focused on improving power distribution, enhancing service delivery and ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers across Jammu and Kashmir.(Agencies)
