The notice also advised candidates to complete the application process within the extended deadline, as no further extensions will be granted.

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo, had written to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on March 6, 2026, requesting an extension of the NEET-UG 2026 application deadline. The request was made in view of recent internet restrictions in the Kashmir Valley, which affected students’ ability to submit forms safely and on time.

Several students had reported difficulties due to issues with OTP verification and slow internet connectivity. Minister Sakeena expressed her gratitude to the Union Education Minister for promptly considering the request and granting a three-day extension, now allowing applications until March 11.

“This decision will greatly help many students from the Kashmir Valley who faced difficulties submitting their forms due to limited internet speed. Grateful for the timely support to ensure no aspirant misses the opportunity,” she said.

She also advised candidates to avoid last-minute submissions and complete the application process well before the deadline to prevent any technical issues. “All aspiring candidates who have not yet completed their applications should take advantage of this extended deadline and ensure their forms are submitted on time,” Minister Sakeena added.
