MLA Inderwal, Pyare Lal Sharma, called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar and submitted a comprehensive memorandum highlighting several developmental and public welfare demands concerning the Inderwal Assembly Constituency.
During the meeting, Sharma urged the Chief Minister to expedite the establishment of Fire and Emergency Services stations at Marwah and Warwan to strengthen disaster preparedness and ensure timely emergency response in these remote and mountainous regions.
The legislator also sought the development of sports infrastructure, including the construction of sports stadiums at Marwah and Warwan, besides the development of playgrounds near NTPHC Sigdi and Mulwarwan to encourage sporting activities among local youth.
Highlighting the need for improved banking facilities, Sharma demanded the opening of new JK Bank branches at Vohal, Inderwal, and Bhata in Mughal Maidan. He also requested the installation of a JK Bank ATM at the Chingam Bus Stand to provide easier access to banking services for commuters and residents.
On the tourism front, the MLA appealed for the reopening and promotion of the scenic tourist destinations of Sinthan Top and Margan Top. He further requested that tourists from outside Jammu and Kashmir be permitted to visit the picturesque valleys of Marwah and Warwan, stating that opening these areas to visitors would significantly boost tourism, generate employment, and strengthen the local economy while showcasing the region’s natural beauty.
Sharma also discussed various other developmental issues concerning the Inderwal constituency and sought the Chief Minister’s intervention for their early resolution. The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the demands and assured the MLA that the issues would be examined sympathetically and appropriate action would be taken in a phased manner.
