The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has carried out a major reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers belonging to the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories) cadre, issuing fresh transfer and posting orders for several officers in Jammu & Kashmir. All transfers and postings will take effect immediately.
Among the IAS officers, Saugat Biswas (2006 batch) has been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu & Kashmir. Mamta Yadav (2021 batch) has been transferred from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir, while Ishita Rathi (2022 batch) has been moved from Puducherry to Jammu & Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (2009 batch) has been transferred from Jammu & Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh, and Swati Sheemar (2023 batch) has been transferred from Jammu & Kashmir to Delhi.
The IPS cadre has also witnessed significant changes. Vishnu Kumar, Arshi Aadil, Tikam Singh Verma, K. M. Priyanka, Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, Deepak Yadav, Anand Kumar Mishra, and Satish Kumar have been posted to Jammu & Kashmir.
At the same time, IPS officers Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Tanushree, Deepika, and Gaurav Sikarwar, who were serving in Jammu & Kashmir, have been transferred to Chandigarh, Delhi, Puducherry, and Goa, respectively.
According to the MHA, all these transfers and postings will remain in effect until further orders. (Agencies)
