Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Vibrant Village Uran Bowa in Baramulla, reviewed ongoing development projects and addressed a public gathering, emphasizing the transformation of border villages under the Government of India’s Vibrant Villages Programme.
He said border areas are now increasingly integrated with the national mainstream through improved connectivity, infrastructure, and digital access. Highlighting progress, he noted that all 18 selected villages are now connected with all-weather roads and telecom connectivity has significantly improved, reaching full 4G and 5G coverage in key strategic locations.

LG Sinha stressed that farmers, youth, and women in border villages play a vital role in nation-building and are being empowered through education, entrepreneurship, and livelihood opportunities. He also reiterated the administration’s focus on literacy, economic growth, and employment generation in rural and border areas.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth ₹94 crore under the Vibrant Villages Programme-II. He also distributed appointment orders, student tablets, and sanction letters under various welfare schemes and unveiled the jersey and trophy for the upcoming SPANDAN League 2026.
