Srinagar, May 5: Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has informed that scheduled shutdowns will be observed on multiple transmission lines for maintenance and upgradation works, affecting several areas of South Kashmir and adjoining regions.
As per the statement, shutdown of 132 KV Wanpoh 1st line will be observed, due to which power supply to Anantnag, Malaknag, Qaimoh, Qazigund and Ashajipora will remain affected from 9:30 AM to 01:30 PM on May 7, 2026.
Similarly, shutdown of 132 KV IRCON line will be carried out, affecting power supply to GSS Qazigund of Northern Railways from 02:30 PM to 05:00 PM on May 7, 2026.
In another scheduled shutdown, the 33 KV Wanpoh 2nd line will remain under maintenance, impacting power supply to Anantnag, Malaknag, Qaimoh, Qazigund, Ashajipora, SICOP and Shopian from 09:30 AM to 01:30 PM on May 9, 2026.
Additionally, shutdown of 132 KV Lisser line will also be observed, affecting power supply to Hiller, Kokernag and Dooru areas from 02:30 PM to 05:00 PM on May 9, 2026.
KPDCL has advised the public to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience caused due to the essential maintenance works.
