Doda, October 6, 2025: The Executive Engineer, Sub Transmission Division, JPDCL Doda, has issued a fresh circular announcing a new rotational power curtailment schedule following inclement weather conditions and a sharp rise in electricity demand across several receiving stations in Doda district.
According to Circular No. STD/Doda/2025-26/2000, dated October 6, 2025, the revised curtailment plan will be implemented across the following receiving stations: Mandal, Padyarna, Gulabgarh Paddar, Hatta, Dapdeth, Ikhala, and Dangdoru.
To ensure balanced distribution, the areas have been categorized into two groups — Group A and Group B — with rotational curtailments to be observed throughout the day.
Group A includes: Lower Pochal, Thakrai-Kuriya, Chatroo, Dangdhuru, Pochal, Hullar Pohie, Dool, Gulabgarh, Sohal, and Ligri.
Group B includes: Upper Pochal, Mugalmadan, Palmar, Dachhan, Ikhala, Cherhar, DC Office/Workshop, Galhar, Bhatian, Atholi, and Machail.
As per the schedule, power cuts will be implemented in five different slots, resulting in an overall curtailment of around nine hours daily for each group. The timings will alternate between Group A and Group B on a rotational basis.
The circular also mentions that additional SLDC cuts, if required, may be imposed over and above this schedule depending on the system load and weather conditions.
The order has been circulated to the Managing Director JPDCL Jammu, Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL Jammu, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Superintending Engineer O&M Circle JPDCL Kishtwar, Executive Engineer Electric Division JPDCL Kishtwar, and Assistant Engineer Sub Division Kishtwar for necessary information and compliance.
