Jammu: In an unprecedented development, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday morning raided the office of the Kashmir Times at Jammu for allegedly promoting activities against the country.
The newspaper that is not new to the controversies is consider as critical of establishment from time to time & has been accused of supporting an ideology which is detrimental to the peace & tranquility of the state as well as the country.
SIA sleuths conducted a thorough search of the newspaper’s premises and computers, the official told News Insider 24X7.
The officials said that a case has been registered against the newspaper for “glorification of activities inimical to the interests of the country.”
The case has been registered against the publication and its promoters and they are likely to be questioned added that details will be shared once the formalities with regard to the raid will be completed.
