Jammu, November 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department has warned teaching and non-teaching staff of government colleges of strict disciplinary action over violations of official attendance rules.
The department has emphasised the need for punctuality, regular attendance and adherence to prescribed working hours, directing college authorities to ensure strict compliance with attendance regulations.
Officials have been cautioned against unauthorised absence and negligence in maintaining attendance records. Any violation of the prescribed norms may invite disciplinary action under applicable service rules.
The directive aims to strengthen administrative accountability and ensure the smooth functioning of government colleges across Jammu and Kashmir.
College administrations have been advised to monitor staff attendance and ensure that all employees discharge their official responsibilities in accordance with departmental guidelines.
