JAMMU, Jan 17: The Jammu and Kashmir government has accorded administrative approval for the permanent restoration of the damaged approach to the 4th Tawi Bridge near Bhagwati Nagar. The bridge approach had suffered extensive damage during the August 2025 floods, which caused widespread disruption to traffic and local connectivity in the area.

Officials said the restoration will involve strengthening the foundation, resurfacing the approach road, and implementing necessary flood-resilient measures to prevent future damage.
