Mock Prison Cell at Tajrish Square Draws Crowds as Tehran Steps Up Anti-US Messaging Amid Middle East War
Tehran: Iran has unveiled a life-size installation at Tehran’s Tajrish Square depicting US President Donald Trump behind bars, in a provocative public display reflecting rising anti-American sentiment amid the ongoing Middle East war.
The installation, organised by Tehran’s municipal authorities, features a mock prison cell with an actor wearing a Trump mask positioned behind bars. The display has attracted crowds, with visitors stopping to take selfies and photographs alongside the installation.
The symbolic display comes amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States following US-Israeli strikes. Tehran has accused Trump of war crimes over the military campaign, while the installation appears to convey a message demanding accountability and justice against Washington.
The public artwork has added another dimension to the ongoing political messaging surrounding the conflict, using a prominent public space to express Iran’s opposition to US policies and military actions in the region.
The installation highlights the deepening hostility between Tehran and Washington as the wider Middle East conflict continues to fuel political confrontation and sharp exchanges between the two sides.
