Jammu May 15; 2026: In view of the prevailing situation, the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has taken a conscious and proactive step towards conservation of energy resources by adopting austerity measures aimed at ensuring prudent use of fuel and official resources.
As part of the initiative, the Chief Justice has directed temporary rationalization in the usage of official and security vehicles attached with him. Accordingly, one of the security vehicles presently deployed has been temporarily relieved in order to minimize fuel consumption and ensure optimal utilization of available resources during the present circumstances.
The move reflects the High Court’s commitment towards responsible administration, sensitivity to national concerns, and promotion of energy conservation measures in the larger public interest.
The decision has been viewed as a positive example of institutional responsibility and efficient resource management at a time when conservation of essential resources has assumed greater significance.
