Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay felicitated Head Constable Velmurugan at the Secretariat for his courageous efforts to prevent an illegal gutka smuggling attempt in Coimbatore.
Velmurugan reportedly risked his own life while taking action to stop the smuggling operation. Recognising his bravery and commitment to duty, the Chief Minister invited him to the Secretariat and honoured him for his efforts in combating the illegal movement of gutka.
The felicitation highlighted the dedication of police personnel who continue to take risks in the line of duty to prevent illegal activities and protect public interest.
