Srinagar, Mar 16: On the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad extended his warm greetings to people across the country and the Muslim community in particular.
Azad said that on this sacred night, Muslims around the world offer prayers throughout the night seeking the blessings of the Almighty.
“Tonight, the Muslim Ummah across the globe will pray throughout the night seeking divine blessings of the Almighty. Let us pray for prosperity, tolerance and a society free from hatred,” he said.
Describing the occasion as highly significant, Azad added that it marks the night when the Qur’an was revealed.
“Today is the blessed night when the Holy Qur’an was revealed. May the Almighty bless us all with His choicest bounties,” Azad said.
