POONCH, MAY 11: A free medical camp was organised on Monday at Vibrant Village-II Dheri Dabsi in Poonch district under the directions of District Development Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma and the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan.
The camp witnessed active participation from local residents and aimed at providing quality healthcare services to people living in remote and rural areas of the district.
During the camp, beneficiaries were provided free medical consultations, on-the-spot health screenings, and free medicines by the healthcare teams.
Services offered during the outreach programme included screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), TB screening under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), mother and child healthcare services, Ayushman Bharat PMJAY Sehat Card registration, and Vay Vandana Card registration.
Villagers appreciated the initiative and praised the district administration and health department for their proactive efforts in addressing healthcare needs in far-flung areas.
Officials said such outreach programmes are aimed at ensuring accessible healthcare services and increasing awareness about government health and welfare schemes among rural populations.
