MeT warns of thunderstorms, hailstorms and fresh rain-snow spells across J&K; conditions likely to stabilise after April 11

Srinagar, April 4: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Saturday issued a forecast predicting erratic weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir till April 10, with cloudy skies and intermittent spells of rain and snow likely today, accompanied by thunder and hailstorms.

Weather conditions are expected to improve gradually by tonight. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for April 5–6, followed by fresh spells of rain and snowfall between April 7 and 8.

Authorities have issued advisories warning of thunderstorms, gusty winds and possible flash floods. Farmers have been advised to suspend agricultural activities, while travellers have been urged to plan their movement accordingly.

The weather is likely to remain unstable, with scattered rain and snow expected from April 9 to 11, before conditions turn generally dry between April 12 and 15. (Agency)
