Jammu, Feb 23: A drone was discovered on the lawns of a private school in the Domana area of Jammu on Monday, officials said.
The device was first spotted by a security guard, who immediately informed the local police station. A police team rushed to the spot and seized the drone.
Preliminary investigation indicates that it appears to be a toy drone. However, it has been sent to a forensic laboratory for detailed examination to ascertain its origin and purpose.
Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for four unidentified persons who allegedly snatched a private car near Rakh Barotian in the Vijaypur area of Samba district early Monday.
The vehicle, bearing a Punjab registration number, was en route to Jammu when it was reportedly intercepted and taken away. The accused fled towards Ring Road Jammu, officials said.
