JAMMU, MAY 15: Director Agriculture Jammu Anil Gupta today conducted an extensive tour of Sub Division Dansal to review the implementation of agricultural and developmental programmes being carried out in the area.
The Director inspected the office of the Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO) and reviewed the ongoing functioning and field-level activities of the subdivision. He also participated in and chaired the Fortnight Training Programme (FNT) organised at the SDAO office as per departmental directions for regular training sessions across districts and subdivisions.
During the visit, Anil Gupta launched a publication titled “Meri Pehchan Meri Panchayat”, which contains detailed information about various projects, schemes and developmental activities being implemented by the Agriculture Department across 40 panchayats of Sub Division Dansal. The book also includes basic agricultural data of all panchayats in the subdivision.
The Director also took part in a plantation drive organised at the office premises as part of the departmental cleanliness and green initiative campaign.
Later, he conducted a field inspection in the subdivision and interacted with local farmers to assess the ground-level impact of various agricultural schemes. He obtained feedback regarding benefits being availed under centrally sponsored and departmental initiatives and encouraged farmers to adopt modern agricultural practices to enhance productivity and income generation.
Anil Gupta also visited the Kisan Khidmat Ghar (KKG) at village Churta in Sub Division Dansal and inspected its functioning. During the visit, he interacted with Krishi Udhyami Udhay Sharma and reviewed activities being carried out at the centre.
He appreciated the role of Krishi Udhyamis in strengthening extension services at the grassroots level and emphasized the importance of effective outreach for improving agricultural productivity and farmer welfare.
