District Congress Committee (DCC) Reasi on Saturday organized a Press Conference-cum-Video Presentation under the All India Congress Committee’s (AICC) nationwide “Chhatron Ki Goonj” campaign at Super Tech Institute, Nai Basti, Reasi.
The programme was presided over by former Minister G. M. Saroori and organized by Advocate Ajay Salalia, President, DCC Reasi. The event witnessed participation from senior Congress leaders, Youth Congress activists, NSUI representatives and party workers.
During the programme, a video presentation of the address delivered by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, at Kota, Rajasthan was screened. The speech focused on the aspirations, challenges and concerns faced by students and youth across the country. Participants discussed these issues in the context of Jammu and Kashmir and stressed the need for effective policy measures to safeguard the future of young people.

Addressing the gathering, G. M. Saroori expressed concern over recurring examination paper leaks, increasing unemployment, commercialization of education and the limited opportunities available to deserving youth. He stated that access to quality education, transparent recruitment systems and meaningful employment opportunities are essential for building a strong and inclusive nation.
Saroori emphasized the need for greater transparency, accountability and institutional reforms to restore the confidence of students and job aspirants. He urged policymakers to address the growing concerns of the youth and ensure a fair environment for education and employment.
Speaking on the occasion, DCC Reasi President Adv. Ajay Salalia reaffirmed the commitment of the Indian National Congress towards protecting the interests of students and young people. He called upon all sections of society to unite in raising their voices against policies that adversely affect educational opportunities and employment prospects. He reiterated the party’s resolve to advocate for a transparent, equitable and student-centric education system.
Among those present were Munshi Ram Salalia, Shobha Sharma, Naresh Verma, Narinder Kishore Sharma, Ghulam Rasool, Bharat Singh, Karandeep Singh, Maninder Sharma, Khadam Chauhan, Arshad Hussain, Abhishek Singh and Pankaj Dalotra, besides several office-bearers and workers of the Youth Congress and NSUI.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge by Congress leaders and youth representatives to continue raising issues concerning students and youth and work towards ensuring a transparent and opportunity-driven education and employment ecosystem.
