Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma chaired a district-level review meeting to assess the implementation and progress of the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan in the district.
The meeting reviewed awareness drives, enforcement activities, and community participation initiatives being carried out by various departments under the campaign schedule.
The DC directed enforcement agencies including Police, Revenue, Excise & Taxation, and Drug & Food Control Department to take strict action against those involved in illegal sale and misuse of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
He also instructed Tehsildars and Block Development Officers to regularly engage with Mahila Nigrani Samitis across all 136 Panchayats to strengthen grassroots monitoring against drug abuse.
Additionally, the Assistant Commissioner Development was directed to activate Youth Clubs in all Panchayats to encourage youth participation in anti-drug awareness initiatives.
