Kishtwar, April 23:
The Congress on Thursday submitted a formal application seeking registration of an FIR against Vikram Randhawa at Police Station Kishtwar, accusing him of making alleged derogatory and objectionable remarks against the party leadership.
The complaint was jointly filed by senior party leaders, including Anas Mujtaba Munshi, State General Secretary of Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC), along with Bilal Sheikh, Jaffer Dev, Abdul Hamid, Aashiq Hussain, Sohail Ahmed, and Sahil Naik.
In the application, the leaders strongly condemned the remarks attributed to Randhawa, terming them “irresponsible” and aimed at maligning the image of the Congress party and its leadership. They urged the police to initiate immediate legal action in the matter to uphold democratic values and maintain political decorum.
Speaking on the occasion, Congress representatives reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the dignity of the party and asserted that such statements would not be tolerated.
The party also called upon the district administration and police authorities to act swiftly on the complaint to ensure accountability and prevent recurrence of such incidents.
