CM Omar calls crucial cabinet meeting tomorrow in Jammu

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has convened a Cabinet meeting tomorrow (December 3) in Jammu, with the reservation issue topping the agenda.

The meeting will be held at 9 am at the CM’s Jammu residence and is expected to deliberate on multiple key matters, according to the news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).

The Cabinet is likely to consider a proposal to increase the share of government jobs and educational institution seats for Open Merit candidates from the current 30 per cent to 40 per cent, sources said.

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary and Cabinet Ministers Sakina Itoo, Javed Dar, Javid Rana, and Satish Sharma are expected to attend the meeting.

Cabinet Minister Javed Ahmad Dar confirmed to KNS that the meeting has been convened by the Chief Minister at his Jammu residence at 9 am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, sources indicated that issues including electricity, reservation, and winter preparedness are slated for discussion during the meeting. (Agencies)
