Ayush Department Srinagar Holds Yoga and Counselling Session on Healthy Lifestyle

Students sensitised on drug abuse prevention under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan

Srinagar, May 08: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan, the Ayush Department Srinagar organised a Yoga and Counselling Session at Delhi Public School Srinagar to promote a healthy lifestyle among students and create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

The programme was conducted under the directions of District Ayush Officer Srinagar Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Parray.

The session was jointly conducted by trained Yoga Instructors from the Directorate of AYUSH Srinagar, Mohammad Younis and Shahida Fayaz, who guided students through various yoga practices, breathing techniques, and simple physical exercises aimed at improving fitness, mental well-being, concentration, and emotional balance.

Students actively participated in the demonstrations and counselling interactions, showing keen interest in adopting yoga as part of their daily routine.

Officials highlighted that such initiatives are part of broader efforts to build awareness among youth regarding substance abuse and to encourage discipline-oriented and wellness-based lifestyles.

The programme concluded with a pledge by participants to work collectively towards building a healthy and drug-free society through awareness, discipline, and positive lifestyle choices.
