Arnia Police Arrest Drug Peddler, 4.80 Grams of Heroin Recovered

Arnia, Jammu | June 13, 2026: In a continued drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Police Station Arnia achieved a significant success by arresting a drug peddler during a surprise naka checking operation.

As per police sources, a team of Police Station Arnia laid a surprise naka at Village Kothey Kalyana during the evening hours of 12 June 2026. During the checking, one individual identified as Parveen Kumar @ Pinna, son of Dev Raj, resident of Chorli Kothey Bishnah, Jammu, was intercepted and subjected to personal search.

During the search, 4.80 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.

Following the recovery, a case FIR No. 34/2026 has been registered at Police Station Arnia under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act. Further investigation into the matter has been initiated to trace backward and forward linkages of the drug supply chain.

Police have reiterated their commitment to continue strict action against drug peddlers and to intensify efforts under the ongoing anti-drug campaign in the region.
