Kishtwar March 20, 2026: State General Secretary and District Doda Incharge, Anas Mujtaba Munshi, has strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made by BJP MP from Mandi, Kangana Ranaut, against the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.
In a statement issued here today, Munshi said that the use of disrespectful language against a senior national leader holding a constitutional position is highly inappropriate and reflects poorly on the political culture being promoted by the BJP.
He added that such statements not only undermine democratic values but also divert attention from real issues concerning the people of the country. “Personal attacks and abusive language have no place in a healthy democracy. Leaders must maintain dignity and respect while expressing political differences,” he stated.
Munshi further demanded that Ranaut should immediately apologise for her remarks and refrain from making such statements in the future. He urged political leaders across party lines to uphold decorum and focus on constructive and issue-based dialogue.
He reiterated that the Indian National Congress will continue to stand firmly against any attempt to insult its leadership and will always defend democratic principles and values.
