In view of the severe weather conditions, authorities on Wednesday announced the closure of all government and private schools in the Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Education Officer of Poonch told Rising Kashmir that all educational institutions—both government and private—will remain closed on July 30, 2025, as a precautionary measure to ensure student safety.
Similarly, in Rajouri district, all schools have also been ordered shut following directives from the administration in response to the worsening weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has postponed the Class 12 board examinations scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, 2025, across the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
A JKBOSE official said that the Class 12 exams for subjects including Biology, Statistics, Political Science, and Accountancy have been postponed due to inclement weather affecting both UTs.
“The revised date for the examinations will be announced shortly,” the official added. (Agencies)
