ACB Traps Deputy Director Agriculture Law Enforcement, ‘Tout’ Over ₹50,000 Bribe

Srinagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has reportedly caught a Deputy Director of Agriculture, Law Enforcement, along with an alleged middleman or “tout,” in connection with a ₹50,000 bribery case.

According to the reported details, the ACB action followed a complaint alleging that the accused officials demanded a bribe of ₹50,000 in connection with an official matter. Acting on the complaint, the agency laid a trap to catch the accused while allegedly accepting the demanded amount.

The operation resulted in the detention of the Deputy Director and the alleged tout, while further legal proceedings are expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged transaction.
