In a social media post, Kejriwal expressed pride in Machchhar, saying that despite having his own life at risk, the pilot helped save numerous people and demonstrated what he described as true Indian courage.

Captain Machchhar was reportedly seriously injured during a violent confrontation with his co-pilot inside the cockpit. The aircraft subsequently made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. Reports say passengers and crew members helped restrain the attacker, while Machchhar’s actions were instrumental in preventing a potentially catastrophic outcome.

Kejriwal also joined several public figures in wishing Machchhar a speedy recovery. His remarks came as the Indian pilot received international recognition for his conduct during the incident.

The incident has drawn widespread attention, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also publicly praising Machchhar’s bravery. Machchhar is currently recovering in a Saudi Arabian hospital and has been reported to be in stable condition.
