BJP National President Nitin Nabin Begins Two-Day Jammu and Kashmir Visit to Review Party Affairs

To hold key organisational meetings, address workers and visit major religious sites.

BJP National President Nitin Nabin arrived in Jammu on Monday on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir to review the party’s organisational affairs and interact with party leaders and workers.

Nabin was accorded a warm welcome at Jammu Airport by party workers. He was accompanied by BJP National General Secretary and Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Tarun Chugh. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma, and several senior party leaders also received him at the airport.

Hundreds of BJP workers greeted the party chief with slogans, flower petals and bouquets before he left for Mishriwala, where he is scheduled to address a workers’ convention.

Later in the day, Nabin will chair a meeting of BJP office-bearers at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. He is also scheduled to offer prayers at the historic Raghunath Temple and pay tributes to Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary.

On Tuesday, the BJP chief will visit the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and pay floral tributes to Prem Nath Dogra at Dogra Chowk.

During his visit, Nabin will also hold separate meetings with BJP Members of Parliament, MLAs and former elected representatives. He is further scheduled to participate in a ‘Yuva Samvad’ programme at the Convention Centre in Jammu as part of the party’s outreach to young workers.(Agenies)
