Kishtwar/Doda June 10, 2026: In a major blow to the narcotics trade operating in the district, Doda Police has intensified its war against drugs by arresting a second woman drug peddler and recovering fresh heroin-like contraband during the investigation of FIR No. 150/2026 under the NDPS Act.

What began with the arrest of a woman from Sadeeqaabad and the recovery of approximately 32 grams of heroin has now exposed deeper links in the drug distribution network. Acting on sustained interrogation and technical investigation, police arrested another accused woman from Chenani and recovered an additional 7 grams of heroin-like substance, taking the total seizure in the case to nearly 39 grams.

The latest breakthrough underlines the alarming spread of narcotics in society and the ruthless attempts by drug traffickers to lure the younger generation into addiction for monetary gains. However, Doda Police has made it clear that no individual involved in this illegal trade will be spared, irrespective of influence or connections.

Police officials stated that investigations are underway to identify the entire supply chain, including both suppliers and local distributors. More arrests and recoveries are expected as the probe progresses.

The operation sends a strong message that Doda Police is leaving no stone unturned in dismantling drug syndicates and safeguarding society from the menace of narcotics. Citizens have been urged to come forward with information regarding drug trafficking, with authorities assuring complete confidentiality and strict action against offenders.

The fight against drugs is not merely a law enforcement campaign—it is a battle to save families, protect youth, and secure the future of society.
