Ex-BDC Member, NC Leaders Meet Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary, Raise Public Issues

Jammu March 7, 2026: A delegation comprising former BDC Member and former Zonal Youth President of Jammu & Kashmir National Conference from Chenab Valley called on the Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and apprised him of several pressing public issues affecting the region.

The delegation included Senior Media Analyst of the National Conference Shahan Sajjad Kichloo, Akhter Malik and other associates.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the urgent need for improvement in road infrastructure across various areas of Chenab Valley and sought early resolution of pending payments related to labour cards. They also urged the government to take strict action against the illegal dumping of mud and rocks along the banks of the Chenab River, warning that such activities could pose environmental risks and threaten nearby habitations.

The delegation requested the Deputy Chief Minister to intervene in the matter and ensure timely action for the welfare of the people of the region.

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary gave a patient hearing to the issues raised and assured the delegation that the concerns would be looked into and appropriate steps would be taken in the larger public interest.
