Jammu, March 3, 2026: J&K State Youth General Secretary and District Doda Incharge Anas Mujtaba Munshi, after staging a strong protest in Delhi a few days back, once again demanded the immediate release of Uday Bhanu Chib, National President of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), along with withdrawal of charges registered against him.
Munshi alleged that the case against the Youth Congress leader was registered at the behest of the BJP, which he claimed controls the functioning of the Delhi Police. He strongly condemned the arrest and termed it an attack on democratic values and the fundamental right to raise one’s voice.
He stated that the Youth Congress will continue its peaceful agitation until their National President is released unconditionally. “You can detain individuals, but you cannot silence a movement,” Munshi asserted while addressing party workers.
He further emphasized that raising issues concerning the youth and the common people cannot be suppressed through arrests or intimidation, adding that such actions only strengthen the resolve of party workers.
The protest witnessed active participation from Youth Congress members and supporters, who raised slogans demanding justice and the immediate release of their leader.
The Youth Congress leadership reiterated its commitment to democratic principles and warned that the agitation would intensify if their demands are not met at the earliest.
