Manasbal, September 30: The 14 JKAP Battalion APC Manasbal organised a Unity Run and Inter-School Athletic Competition at Sainik School Ground, Manasbal, on Wednesday to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and promote the message of “Together Towards a Stronger India.”
Students from 10 schools across the area participated in 100m, 400m, 800m and 1600m races, displaying enthusiasm, discipline, determination and competitive spirit.
Trophies and cash prizes were awarded to the top three position holders in each event. Winners received ₹4,000, runners-up ₹2,000, and third-place holders ₹1,500, along with trophies.
A Unity Walk was also held, with police officers, officials, teachers and students participating. The walk highlighted the values of unity, solidarity, sportsmanship and collective responsibility.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant of 14 JKAP Battalion appreciated the participation of the young athletes and encouraged students to pursue sports with dedication, noting its role in developing fitness, confidence, teamwork and unity among youth.
The event concluded with the message: “Run Together | Grow Together | Stay United.”
