Ten Killed, Eight Injured in Truck-Coach Collision in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar, April 15: At least ten people lost their lives and eight others sustained injuries in a tragic head-on collision between a passenger coach and a truck in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday.

The accident took place near Lakki Ghunda Khel along the main Indus Highway in the Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to a spokesperson for 1122 Rescue Services.

Emergency teams, including five ambulances and a recovery vehicle, were rushed to the spot following the incident. Rescue personnel successfully extricated all passengers from the mangled coach, the spokesperson added.

The injured were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the condition of several individuals is reported to be critical.

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives. He offered prayers for the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the tragic mishap.
