A 60-year-old woman and an 8-year-old boy were killed on Wednesday night after their makeshift shelter collapsed in the forest area of Amri Bhak Warnow in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Officials told Media that the incident occurred during the night when the temporary structure gave way, resulting in the tragic death of the two individuals.
The deceased have been identified as Marif Noori (60), wife of Mohammad Yousuf Mir, and Aabid Hussain Mir (8), son of Mohammad Shafi Mir — both residents of Aafan Warnow Lolab.
Meanwhile, a police team has reached the site and is assessing the situation. (Media reports)
