We Want Kashmiri Pandits to Return, Won’t Let Pakistan’s Designs Succeed: Minister Satish Sharma

Says Efforts Must Continue for Dignified Rehabilitation, Calls for Unity to Build Stronger J&K

Srinagar, Feb 12: Minister Satish Sharma on Thursday expressed hope for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley, saying he sincerely wishes to see their dignified rehabilitation, though the matter is not entirely within his control.

Speaking to reporters, Sharma said he hopes Kashmiri Pandits will return to Kashmir. “I genuinely want them to come back. We will not allow Pakistan’s nefarious designs to succeed. We want the country to remain united,” he said.

The minister added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, efforts should be intensified to build a stronger nation and a more prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.

“For that, all of us must work together with dedication and unity,” he added. (Agencies)
